Charlene Sarmiento is the public relations program manager at Goodwill Industries International, the second largest nonprofit organization, according to the Nonprofit Times. She develops and executes external and strategic communications, video production, national media relations campaigns and media measurement. Charlene has led the planning and execution of video projects that have won honors from the League of Communication Professionals, TIVA-DC, Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals and the Telly Awards. Her work has also secured top national media placements including NPR.com, USA TODAY, Gannett, Huffington Post, MarketWatch and others. Prior to joining Goodwill, Charlene worked as a writer for WJLA-TV and a news producer for Voice of America television in Washington D.C. Charlene has a BA in Global Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara and is currently pursuing an MBA at the University of Maryland, Robert H. Smith School of Business.
