Charlene Sarmiento is the public relations program manager at Goodwill Industries International, the second largest nonprofit, according to the Nonprofit Times. She leads external and strategic communications, media measurement, video production and national media relations. Her PR and videos have earned kudos from the PR Daily Media Relations Awards, League of Communication Professionals, TIVA-DC, Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals and the Telly Awards. She has place stories in, USA Today, Gannett, The Huffington Post, MarketWatch and others. Before Goodwill, Charlene wrote for WJLA-TV and produced news for Voice of America TV. Charlene has a bachelor’s in global and international studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara and is an MBA student at the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business.
